Our main home is in the beautiful community of Lake Monticello, Palmyra, Virginia. We searched for over a year to find the perfect area to live, and I think we’ve got it.

Inside are four bedrooms, although two of them are set up as offices. The other two bedrooms have a California King bed and a queen bed, and each have a full bath. There’s a large vaulted living room with a fireplace, a huge and well-equipped eat in kitchen, a half bath, a sun room, a deck with a grill, and a large game room downstairs – with air hockey, PacMan and four vintage pinball machines. The lot is private and quiet, but we also have the very best neighbors in the world who will help you with whatever questions you might have. Super fast and reliable internet with speeds of 50 MBS down and 10 MBS up.

We live in a gated community with a 396 acre lake, plus a fishing pond. There are five beaches on the lake that you may access, along with a clubhouse, golf course, putting range, running track, restaurant and tennis courts all on site. About a mile from our house is a small shopping center with a grocery store, restaurants, drug store and other businesses.

You’ll see deer and bunnies wandering the property every day, but within minutes are vineyards, three presidential homes (including Jefferson’s Monticello), orchards, and the vibrant city of Charlottesville. Within an hour’s drive west are the stunning Shenandoah and Washington National Forests, the Appalachian Trail and the famous Skyline Drive. Some of the very best hiking, biking and outdoor activities in the eastern United States are that close by!

Headed west, the city of Richmond is less than an hour’s drive. The capital of the south during the Civil War, it is steeped in history and boasts a world class Art Museum. The house is a 2.5 hour drive to Washington DC, but if you’d rather not drive, there is a direct train line from Charlottesville to downtown D.C. and then further through Philadelphia to New York City.
